Provost Academy

Start your first year with a transformational experience like no other.

Congratulations, you are invited to Provost Academy 2024!

Saturday, August 10 – Saturday, August 17

Early residence hall move-in is on Saturday, August 10 or Sunday, August 11.

What is Provost Academy?

The Provost Academy is a week-long, hands-on experience meant to set you up for success in your first year through a combination of academic projects and social activities. You will spend time exploring Pitt’s campus and the city of Pittsburgh as you immerse yourself in the exciting new landscape you now call home. In addition to team-based learning among a group of 250 incoming, first-year students from across the country, you will also spend time collaborating with Pitt faculty members and upper-level Pitt students. The Provost Academy is designed to support students who are either first-generation, limited-income, or members of a group underrepresented in higher education.
